Sips and Cycles X Black & Blue Nijmegen

For this drawing Yannick Verkoelen was inspired by the mix of bold, classic biker elements and playful nose art from World War II aircrafts. The beaver is the main character, a symbol for Black and Blue and one that appears often in their identity. The outfit and tattoos are based on Barry, the owner of Black and Blue. That’s why the beaver wears cuffed jeans, Red Wing boots, a mechanic cap, and a short-sleeve shirt showing traditional tattoos like a skull, boat, anchor, and of course a bottle to symbolize the drink for a Sips and Cycles t-shirt. To finish it off, the motorcycle is based on Barry’s custom Harley-Davidson FLSTC Heritage, adding a personal touch that ties the whole design back to him.
